BBQ Ribs

3 1/2 lbs. pork loin ribs
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cloves minced fresh garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup cola
1 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

Mix brown sugar, liquid smoke, garlic, pepper, and salt and rub into ribs. Layer ribs alternately with onions into crock pot. Pour cola over ribs. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours. Remove ribs and onion remnants and discard liquid. Dip ribs into BBQ sauce and put them back into the crock pot. Pour remaining BBQ sauce over ribs. Cover and cook on low for 1 more hour.
