1/4 c. water
3 tbsp. ketchup
3 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 (2 1/2 or 3 lb.) chicken or about 2lbs of chicken breasts & other pieces
Combine water, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, butter and seasoning in a saucepan; heat to boiling. Remove from heat and allow to cool. (Honestly, sometimes I just pour everything in the crockpot.) Place chicken in the crock pot and pour sauce over it. Sometimes I'll add some liquid smoke too. Cook slowly on low overnight or on high for 6 to 7 hours.
