Makes 5 cups. You make 1/2 cup of stuffing for each pound of bird. Multiply the recipe as many times as needed.
1 onion chopped
1 cup mushrooms sliced
saute onions and mushrooms in margarine
Mix together:
4 cups bread
1/4 cup parsley
3 cloves garlic
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup browned sausage meat (or 1 cup ground beef with extra salt, pepper, garlic and anise seed)
Add and mix together
enough chicken broth to moisten (about 2 cans)
